Mercury Meltdown Revolution

A nice birthday gift from Jill’s mom and her husband that arrived last week was Mercury Meltdown Revolution. I had not played it before, but had skimmed lists of the best games for the Wii, and it seemed like it harkened back to Marble Madness, still one of my favorite arcade and NES games. Now that I’ve played it several times, I’m happy to report that my assumption was correct, and it’s my favorite game yet for the Wii. Using the Wiimote as your controller is intuitive and it’s easy to lose yourself for an hour – although at the higher levels it is pretty tough to beat. Since you’re playing with mercury, the shape morphs, splits and can change colors (which is very important as the end goal sometimes depends on your color). It’s a game I highly recommend for fans of puzzle games.
