Nice. I got a spam today where the text was a short passage from “The Hobbit” (one that starts with a story from Gandalf: “somewhere ahead of us is the fair valley of Rivendell where Elrond lives in the Last Homely House…”). The spam itself was in an image embedded in the email. So how am I supposed to set a spam filter to stop that? I’m not typing the Silmarillion into my spam blocker, I’ll tell you that (not sure I could bring myself to read that again).

We get stuff like that at work all the time. Lately, though, we’ve been getting more of them that are just a string of random words that make no sense whatsoever, followed by an ED ad, then more random words. They can be quite amusing. 🙂
